I have a problem with my empeg Mk 2 player.

Firmware: 3.00-alpha11
hijack 471

When I boot it, it seems ok, and everything shows ok on the screen, but after it go blank, and the little blue diode starts to blink, it won't react to anything, either pushing any of the buttons or using the remote. So I can't turn it on, neither in my car or at home.

When I put the usb cable in a computer, the computer finds the
device, and it's possible to install the usb driver, but emplode
doesn't find it.

Any idea what the problem could be and if there's something I could do myself to fix it?

Well, it worked for me too!
What does it do, and what was the problem to begin with??
Everything seems normal now?
Great!

If player -i fixed your problem, then it means the player was frozen because it was trying to play a corrupted MP3 file, and it's liable to freeze again the next time it hits that file. If you can find out which file it is, you should delete it.

Doesn't necessarily have to be an mp3 file. I've forgotten how it did it but one time I managed to load something that wasn't an mp3. Didn't even have .mp3 in the file name, but it stopped the player cold.
