Maybe we should make a new thread with current MP3 download deals from Amazon? New selections seem to come up on a weekly basis. Right now there are two deals I know of:

99 Perfectly Relaxing Songs for $0.99
Rhino Hi-Five: The Cars for $0.99

Hm, it kept saying "(ALBUM)" but only downloading one song. Am I supposed to be getting whole albums?

e.g.: I hit "Flight of the Conchords: Hurt Feelings (Album)" and I'm expecting to get an album (cuz that's what it says), but I only get a single 2.5-minute song.

I would say it's simply the album version of that track i.e. not a remix or anything. It does say 2m36s to the right.

Which "Get MP3" button did you click, the one to the right of the track, or the one at the top of the page?

Edit
Re-reading Tony's question I see he is asking something different that Christian answered.

If Tony says 'I hit "Flight of the Conchords: Hurt Feelings (Album)"' I take that to mean the button to right of the single track. I'm pretty sure I answered Tony's question and not something else.

Sorry Shonky, I should really proof read my posts better, including my edits. It should have read "Re-reading Tony's question I see he is asking something different that Christian already answered."
I need more coffee.

No stress. I see the confusion. Now are you sorted out Tony?

Yes, in the sense that you all answered my question.

The problem is that when something says "(Album)" in the file name, I expect it to actually be an album, not a song. I don't know why Amazon chose to name each track that way. It's just poorly named, resulting in confusion on my part. I thought I was getting a free album, not just a free song. (Or more specifically, a large collection of free albums, not just a single album of mixed songs by various artists... Each track said "(Album)" on it.)

I think I'll be buying the albums outright pretty soon. I'm all for supporting artists, especially when it's quirky, geeky, comedic music like FOTC. I just thought that if there was a legitimate free giveaway, that it'd be nice to take advantage of.

I can't say anything about Shatner's first album, but Has Been, released in 2004 is quite good.

Shatner's Common People cover (originally by Pulp) is why I got it.
