My friend who's an avid Empeg user got me to buy one when they (Rio?) were closing them out a few years ago. Well, it stayed in the box for a while and when I plugged it in for the second time, it wouldn't boot up. I guessed it was an HD issue and I took it apart. In doing so, I mangled the IDE cable.

At this point, the unit is new, may need a HD, definitely needs an IDE cable, and then needs to be put back together.

In addition to the player, I have the FM tuner and, no, I haven't dismantled that at all--and it's still in the cardboard box, unopened.

I'll take any reasonable offer for each. Thanks in advance.

Ok--my Riocar RD100-20 REALLY needs to go. So, see my original post above and, instead of "make me an offer", I'll ship this to anyone within the continental US for $80. It's a project, I realize, but I'd rather not drop it off at the Salvation Army.
