I've finally come to the realization that I won't be able to have an empeg in my car anymore.

My old Honda Odyssey, which bravely carried me for 9 years and over 110,000 miles will need to be sold to make room for the taxes and insurance on a new Highlander Hybrid Limited. Sadly, I see absolutely no way that the dash could be made to accomodate my beloved empeg.

I will most likely move the empeg to my desk area and use it here in my office. I'll have to look over past threads and FAQ/Wiki for more info on home use, which I've never delved into, as the empeg has spent 99.99% of its time out in the car.

Anyway, I just felt the need to share. You may return to your normal business smile

Haha, that'd be nice, though I can't think of anywhere else in the car that an empeg could go. I suppose in the glove compartment...

In my Range Rovers, we removed the adjustable ventilators top centre of the dash: Because you don't generally use them with climate control, and the Empeg fitted in nicely.
Also I rigged it so that the original HU was still in place for when my wife was driving(She only listens to the radio)

My Empeg is in the boot (trunk); the display extender is in the roof lining.
I intercept the autochanger line-level signal with a relay and use the remote-ariel power to switch it.

Very minimal install; reversible and I keep the empeg.

Yep, my Range Rover switching was done by using the aerial out to switch relays. If you switched off or removed the Empeg, it automatically switched to the car radio and (redundant) CD changer
