I recently bought a backup MKIIa for house use mostly. Well, with my luck it lasted about two weeks and something on the mother board blew.
To recoup some of my losses, and perhaps help out some who needs a part, I’m parting it out.
Here’s the break down minus shipping:
. «» If you want the entire broken empeg and Kenwood remote (no sled, I’m keeping that) - $125
. «» Handle plus the screws and parts - $60. The handle does have a small scratch on the left corner but is no big deal. A black marker makes it look like new.
. «» Face plate - $25 – In very good shape
. «» Blue lens - $10 – Good shape
. «» Display and display board - $90. I kind of want to keep this as a backup but if someone needs it - very good shape.
. «» Kenwood remote - $12.50 I don’t know why I want $12.50 but it sounded like a good number.
. «» Other – If there is something else you want off the empeg (maybe the sled connector or other) let me know.
If you need pictures I can provide them, but that would require me moving.
I’m located in the USA.
I think the serial number is – 010101447. I got this off the main processor chip’s sticker

Yes that fits better Mainboard - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MotherboardFrom WP - The term mainboard is archaically applied to devices with a single board and no additional expansions or capability. In modern terms this would include embedded systems, and controlling boards in televisions, washing machines etc. A motherboard specifically refers to a printed circuit with the capability to add/extend its performance/capabilities with the addition of "daughterboards".

Yes that fits better [...] I think he was asking how much you want for it, given that he's capable of repairing them.

Thanks, I thought I was being corrected.
Well there is a bit of a problem. It seems someone who didn't know how to use a screw drived totaly stripped out one of the screws holding the board to the case.
I supose someone skilled in Dremel tooling could possibly slot the head and remove the screw.
Anyway, $25 plus shipping for the board and housiong.

Just drill it out from underneath.

Just drill it out from underneath. I've also found that stripped screws sometimes have enough purchase left that, while a screw driver no longer functions, an allen key will still work.
