I'm not sure when this changed, but I had my player set to shutdown after 120 seconds after the ignition power was shut off. In version 1.0.3 of emplode beta 3 and rc1 if I try to change this it resets it to the maximum of 100 if I use the arrow buttons. It works if I type it in.

It's been that way for a long time, as I recall. I remember having to manually type the number in 1.02.

I never reported it as a bug, because I thought they really did want a 100-second cap, and that I was somehow cheating it by typing in a larger number. I didn't want my "cheat" to go away.
