Sega is finally figuring out what fans want, after over a decade of some pretty horrible 3D games.

Woah! I was never totally into the Sonic games, but the nostalgic video game nerd in me is happy to see that.

What I think is hilarious is that this downloadable Sonic game will be more popular and make Sega more money than any of the 3D ones. At least I believe it will.

As a Sega Master System owner (I still have one in my "old video games" drawer), I just love hearing that Sega jingle. I was a staunch SMS defender back in the day, then moved to the SNES. It was so weird to me the first time I saw Sonic on a Nintendo console.

Cool. I have the feeling that LittleBigPlanet may have reopened the market for sidescrollers and platformers in general.
