Is a new Rio Car (like an MKIII) upcoming? In other words, should I buy a Rio Car now or think about waiting? In particular, I want to know if the industrial design of the product will change to make it fit into the Rio line of products.

I would certainly hold off until July. Rob has dropped some hints about a promotion coming up.

I do not believe a Mark III is coming soon. I do think, however, that empeg and Rio are currently at work on a number of other devices, for both home and car. From what I gather, though, the RioCar / Mark II is intended to stay as the high end flagship product for a little while yet.

Waiting til July is a good idea as you said. We're always working on something new, but if it were my money and I didn't already have a car player I would go ahead and buy one next week.
