I haven't seen a thread on Starcraft II yet. Is anyone else playing?

I tried to add you both and battle.net told me I can't find you! I hope it's not because I am on a EU server...

It is. Blizzard decided to region lock it, there isn't any way for the US players to play with EU players, unless I buy an EU version.

This and the lack of LAN multiplayer are disappointing issues in such a good game.

Last I heard, they are working on letting the regions mix at some point, but because the decision was made late in the development cycle, they didn't have time to implement it at ship. The first priority is allowing the Australian players access to the US Battle.net servers, as initially they are region locked to the Asian servers.

Part of it may have to do with the work involved on the Battle.net side. They need to find some way to allow cross region friends, and that involves allowing cross game communication into WoW. With the crunch to finish the next WoW expansion, they may be holding off till later to complete that piece.

Taym - I am on EU blizzard net as Dr Mayhem, but not getting much playing time in at the moment...just started my own company so time is a tad tight :-)
