(Yes, that's latin, 'I repeat myself'...)

weren't the tuner modules sort of announced for mid-july? Or at least some emails asking those who are 'in' for a free tuner if the delivery address is still valid?

No, I DO NOT want to be flamed... just a short statement from someone @ empeg/rio is enough.

bye

Heh, by my calculations, there's still two days left before it's officially mid-July.

I had to go to Empeg on Tuesday this week to have my Mk.2 looked at. It turns out the 'supercap' which runs the clock on power-off had died.

Anyway, Hugo told me that the tuners were delayed again because they are unable to get hold of the aerial socket. Apparently, their supplier suddenly turned around last week and informed them they were out of stock.

Believe me, Hugo and the guys at Empeg are well frustrated at this new delay. The tuner seems to have been beset by supply problems from day one, but the wait WILL be over soon. Please remain patient, as this latest delay really is beyond the control of anyone at Empeg/Rio.

To be on the safe side, I would guess that the tuner will start becoming available in August, but it may be sooner. Whatever happens, it will be out there as soon as is humanly possible.

I guess Hugo or Rob might be able to give us a better update once they have news from their supplier.

Andy.

That problem was fixed last week - as far as I'm aware all components are with the factory now, or at least very close. Hopefully the aerial socket problem won't have caused too much of a delay, and I'll find out for sure next week (I'm at Rio HQ in Portland all week).

Whatever I have to endure, I will be sure that those who told me to go ahead and give my personal assurance will endure a great deal more

So.. Hugo, Steve, what's it to be? *evil laugh*
