Hi.
I just compiled some utilities for use on the empeg.
tools-binary-empeg-1.0.3.tgz contains the following utilities:
- basename
- chroot
- cut
- date
- dirname
- du
- env
- expr
- false
- head
- hostname
- md5sum
- od
- printenv
- seq
- sleep
- sort
- split
- strings
- tac
- tail
- tee
- touch
- tr
- true
- uniq
- wc
- yes
Hope you will find this useful. I'm currently testing an install of a standalone ftp-Server for the empeg (stupid-ftpd for those who know it or would like to check it out). That ftp-server is particularly useful on the empeg because it does only need its configuration file, nothing more (not even /etc/passwd, accounts are set up in the config file). I had to tweak it a bit to get it to work like I wanted it to work (allow an account that has / as its ftp-root-directory), but it seems to work well now. I'm writing an installation script (and some basic documentation) for this that is able to determine quite a few things (e.g. is displayserver present?) and to replace /sbin/init by a quite intelligent (I hope) init script. Watch this place for something to test RSN.
