Hi all. I have a few questions about my player. I just bought a car and don't intend to install my empeg in it, so I'm looking to sell the player. In getting ready to do so, I need to know which version I have. I believe it's the Mark II, but it could be the Mark IIa. How do I go about finding out? For what it's worth, I bought it new and paid $500 when it was being discontinued.

I am also trying to figure out what a fair asking price for it would be. I believe when I bought it it had two 30 GB hard drives in it (not 100% about that part though - it might have been two 60 GB drives). I replaced one of them with 120 GB drive, so I think it has at least 150 GB of storage. The player itself is in good condition and works fine. I have the manual, sled and AC adapter for it. I can't seem to find the remote that came with it. Any ideas on what would be a fair amount to ask?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks! It turns out it's a Mark 11a. Does anyone want to tell me what a fair asking price for this unit would be? Pretty please?

Your best bet is to look at previous ones in our For Sale section, and to look on ebay/craigslist etc.

Second-hand pricing has fluctuated a lot over the years - so looking at more recent sales is probably a good indication.
