Not sure is this is possible at all, my Google searches tuned up empty, but somebody here might know.

I work 12 hour shifts. Those are ALWAYS between 7-19 hrs, 10-22 hrs or 19-07 hrs. BUT, there's no real 'system' in those, so I cannot use recurring events.

It would be ideal for me if I could pre-define these 12-hour blocks, name them eg. "early shift", "late shift" and "night shift", and then only have to enter their name at a certain date, after which the hours should get filled in automatically.

As it is now, I have to fill everything in manually and that is rather tedious work.

Has anybody got a handy solution for me?

Not realizing that "Agenda" was the name of a piece of software in this case, I was expecting to see a completely different post when I clicked on that title.

While this isn't a direct solution to your problem, the Calendar API looks to be very simple. You could probably hack together a tiny program to do what you want. Then launch a startup and make millions.

Heh. It might be simple enough, but unfortunately not for me. See, I can't code. At all.
Oh well, I guess this isn't possible (yet?). Hopefully Google (or somebody else) will implement such a feature in the future.
