I've had no troubles with my factory installed IBM 6Gb and added IBM 20Gb drives, so far... Please do read the FAQ about upgrading very thoroughly, It has some hints and tips you are looking for (washers, isolation).

Good luck!

I installed a DJSA 220 in my empeg and it works perfectly, save the problem I had with the jumper falling off, but that was my fault. Use some electrical tape to keep the jumper on if you have similar problems.

When I just did my 30G upgrade, I used a drop of solder on the jumper... I'm not taking any chances... Taking the cover off once was quite enough for me, thank you very much. I really didn't enjoy working that close to the display board.
