Just wanted to hear if anyone have been using a 1in 2 out SVIDEO adapter.
I want to have this in the back of my home cinema amp., so that the TV can
be connected at the same time as my projector.

Also, if anyone knows what chips one would need to build something like that, as
I can't imagine that is is worth the 100-130USdollar price tabs I've seen om some
of them.

You could take your chances and just splice a Y cable together, but i think the reason they are priced so high is they use transformers to maintain signal integrity and strength.

Actually I used a Y split a long time, but I got the urge to rewire everything one
day. Then I started to look at the picture quality, and I could easily spot the difference with/without the Y split so I figured ; "I need some electronics here!!".
