I just started to get failures when I synchronize. I get:

The synchronisation process failed during stage 10: Operation not permitted error 0xffffffff

Anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks,
Steve

Wild shot in the dark: Did you run out of disk space?

Also: Have you rebooted (full power cycle) both the computer and the empeg?

I've got 8 gig free and I've rebooted both. I brought it home and it syncs fine on my home machine. I'll have to mess with my work machine and try to find the problem.

I found that if I used the Linux command line tool, it gave me a lot more information on the sync process and more detailed error information than Win Emplode ever did. You might want to try the command tool to sync if that is an option. If not, try opeing a serial connetaion before syncing so you can log the interaction with the unit. It might help shed some light on the problem.

Greetings!

Have you tried this table? Very useful data that Roger posted... The link is in the FAQ. From the look of it, error 10 means that your files got there safely, it was just the restart that failed. Reboot the player (maybe resync) and you should be fine.
