Last night I pushed as always my Mk2 into it's sled & was surprised to hear what sounded like tuner static. The empeg booted up as usual then nothing but static, I realize the module isn't there to alow that. I pulled out the empeg & slid it back in and it booted as normal playing my playlist. This the first time it's ever done this, is it possible for the empeg to boot into the tuner section since it's in 1.03?

If the tuner display wasn't on the screen, I would say that it's unlikely. But anything's possible, I guess.

Maybe it was a bad connection and you were hearing static and/or ground loops from the amp wiring?

In all honesty that's what I think too but thought I'd mention it.
As a another thing I noticed the next night was the standby LED was on the same time the player was playing files.
Now I don't if it has anything to do with this but I installed the knobappend before these things were happening.

Hmm. E-mail support on these issues, they could be related. I don't know.

I have seen this before on my empeg, but it was some time ago. I think it was back on 1.01 version with no kernel mods. I havnt noticed it since, but my player still works fine to this day.

Same here it's been playing fine eve since & has never done before. Something I didn't mention was I noticed the battery icon would light & the empeg would blank out completely when my car sat idling a few seconds later it would come back on. I'm going to check my battery although it's new, I suspect the alternator isn't putting out enough for my amp aty idle.
