I have a 90 minute video I downloaded from YouTube. I want to extract an eight minute portion out of the middle and save it to a new file. The video format is MP4.

What is the simplest free way to do this?

Edit: Never mind. It is ridiculously easy in VLC. Play the part of the video I want to save, type in Ctrl-R to start recording. At the end of the saved portion, type in Ctrl-R again. File saved to C:\Users\[username]\Videos.

Even I was able to figure it out.
