Put on one of the InfoTex visual. Restart the empeg and you get various factoids (empeg team names and such).

Just cycle the power by pulling the plug. You may want to power off the empeg first.

Note: only works in Info:off, Info:transient does not work.

Ok… it has nothing to do with info:transient. This is what confused me:

Hold top button down. Unplug power. Plug power back in. Press a button to wake the player up. No easter egg.

Unplug power. Plug power back in. It works.

Wow, I never knew that was in there! I just called Toby, and he said it isn't a hidden feature at all - it comes up in the InfoTex visual when you reach the end of a playlist. Apparently it's been in there for about a year.

Amazing what you find out on the BBS!

I thought you might have to do something from a bash prompt or something to actually restart it. I tried unplugging it but didn't see the easter egg when I plugged it back in. I did find it when I reached the end of the play list. You have to love Red Bull :)

They are. I've been to the Tram Depot with the empeg team, and it was suggested that I could arrange with the proprietor of Wrestlers to buy them pints remotely. ;)

"During 2000 it was greatly enlarged, absorbing its shop units, to destroy all the personality and form one vast bland shed."

Sad but true.

I've not been to the Tram Depot for five years or more; after hearing of its enlargement and loss of character, I don't think I will again.

PS. Just upgraded - it's great! JEmplode simply hangs trying to connect, though (perhaps it puts something in the 1px-high "Working" window...).
