I just had Emplode crash on me, while I was doing some mass renamings.

Here's How I got the crash:
In "Artist" view, selected an artist
Selected all the tracks from that artist
Hit properties, and edited "Source" with the correct spelling of the name.
Left it on that screen, and when the refresh kicked in, it crashed.

I've attached a screenshot of the error message.

BTW, I'm running 2.0b3 on Win2KSP2

I also had a protection fault ( 2 times) after renaming some files. I tried to reproduce it but didn't succeed. I also have 2.0b3, Win2ksp2. I still have emplode 1.03 installed but don't think that's the problem.

I have just had this happen to me. Twice!
Also, when I tried to run emplode again II got a message saying that the database was locked. I had to reboot to get it to run again.
Isn't it possible to have some sort of journalling system, where changes are recorded, as it is incredibly annoying when this sort of thing happens! (Yes, I know it's a beta :-) but similar things happened to me on 1.x releases too)

Phil.

I've had this happen about 5 or 6 times. I was going thru the artist list and deleting tracks I don't want. Emplode crashes and when I restart, it can't connect to the player. I close it and reopen it and can usually connect. I just had to delete 10 or so tracks, sync, delete some more, sync, etc.

This is on XP RTM.

I had the same problem, Only once. I knew that the software is beta so I just did a little renaming at a time and then sync'ed up the player to Emplode.
