i'm after a mk1 empeg, i've been offered one, but i want to know if it's a reasonable price. So if anyone's selling one how much do you want for it? based in england.

I've been thinking about selling my 11G Mk1 with extra sled for at least $500. I don't know if that's reasonable considering the Mk2a's only start at $700, but if I have to wait a year to get that price, I probably will wait.

I'm reasonably interested, but i've never imported anything. I don't know how much it'd cost to transfer, or what duties are involved. - any idea?
I've got a friend who has a paypal account, he suggests i could pay that way, IF i went for it.

But it really rests a lot on costs of getting it here.
Is the car plug universal, i mean has it got the phono's, the two power wires and the ground?

A friend has my Mk1 in the UK at the moment. He had a buyer lined up, but unfortunately that fell through (his wife wouldn't let him spend so much money). No need for you to import it, and you could give him the dosh in pounds sterling. He live near Bristol, so if that is anywhere near where you are perhaps you could meet. Price? Well I was hoping to get £500 for it (paid around £900 from memory!), but the price of a new 10GB Mk2 (£614 delivered) makes that look a bit rude! I'm open to offers ...

I just wanted to say thanks to those who responded to me. I've now bought a mk1, and am really happy with it.
I've still yet to install it in my car, but it still looks, and sounds sweet sitting on the top of my home stereo for the moment.
Cheers.
