Ok...my empeg has been acting screwy for a while, even before I updated to the v2.0 beta. What happens is that sometimes when my (mk II) empeg boots up, the display boots up dimmed (but still visible), and sometimes it boots up normally. There is no correlation between this happening and the headlights being on or off. Also, when I go and check the "dimmer" option in the menu, it's at %100 even when the display boots up dimmed. However, if I press the right arrow button as if I was trying to increase the percentage past %100, the display "undims" and functions normally until the next time I start the car.

BTW, the install is in a 1997 Audi A4.

This has happened to me also several times before and after beta upgrade... Don't know what causes it.

I had that immediately after going to 2.0b3, but setting it to 100% the first two times I started the car, made it go away. Now it allways starts correctly at 100% (AND bright ;-)

This is a known problem, and has been for a long, long time. It was "supposed" to be fixed in 2.0 though. :)
