Anyone notice that the #8 looks odd? (I'm talking about the small #8 on the Info Text screen for Album .. ie. 1988) I can see why it looks odd, but why not just make the #8 more like the #9 and add another line to it to make a 8! <- man that was confusing :)

Also is there anyway to remove the AUX source from the player (Feature in HiJack?) ? Sometimes I press the power button without holding it down long enough, and it switches to AUX. Would it be possible to power down with a quick press of the power button? This is all using the remote btw

Thanks, that's all for now! I've had my Empeg for about a month now and it's GREAT! Still waiting for my 30GB drive from Computer Geeks :)

I looked in the FAQ btw, and didn't see any of this info.. hehe

There have been other discussions on this BBS about user-editing of the player's fonts. If you wish to edit the font files, please locate those discussions and see if you can get enough information to allow you to make any changes you like. Your complaint about the number 8 is one of the very first things I noticed when I got my player, but now I don't care about it at all and it doesn't bother me in the least.

Regarding the button on the remote: it is behaving as it was intended. Short press switches source, long press powers down. Note that you can also power down by holding the top button on the front panel. This isn't specifically in the FAQ, but it's in the Button Guide at www.riocar.org.

You can "fix" the Source(Power) button to work any way you want it to work, using the ir_translate functionality of hijack. If you want it to never act as a "source" button, then just do something like this in config.ini:

[ir_translate]
20df03=20df03.L

I haven't tried this exact translation, but it should work just fine.

Ok, I'll take a look at HiJack. I realize the Power button is working as intended, but I don't see the point in having to hold down the button to power it off! Since I don't have a AUX device. Just my thoughts.

Hey Mark. What you wrote WORKED! Mint! HiJack rocks!

I just read the FAQ on your site about using the IR translator and it rocks! :)

That's it for now :)
