I've noticed that with 2.0b7 my RioCar sometimes acts sluggish. The transient info does not raise and lower smoothly and the menus do not slide smooth. There is a little stutter for lack of a better term.

This almost always happens when I access a menu for the first time. Then after navigating for a few secs, it gets better.

I've noticed this also. Its to the point now that i have to wait for menus, and if i skip to the next track, it takes a little longer then it should. it def feels slow and slugish.

Does anyone konw if this is a limitation of the processor and memory, i have a MkII with the smaller amount of memory, i think 8 insted of 12.

Does anyone know if this will be fixed, or can be fixed in a final 2.0 version?

It's a bug - it's not sluggish on my Mk.2.

Yeah, I noticed a distinct presence of lag when I upgraded to 2b7.

I think it is mostly cos of the new track scanning stuff - you'll notice the first time you play a track after the upgrade, it is slower than the subsequent times. I think I remember reading in the release notes that it has a new feature which builds a kinda chapter list for scanning the first time you play it. I think I remember seeing it build this up graphically in one of the new info views.

Still, it is a *bit* more sluggish. Definitely. Looks pretty funky though, huh?

ya mines really, really slugish, if i have my player plugges in at home, and i listen to music the nite before and then go play it in the monring all the visuals, and loading is unbearable, i have to unplug the player and reset it to get it to work right again, i never had 1.03 or 2b3 on my player long enough to notice what they were like, but b7 has so much cool stuff over b3 i think ill deal with it untill someone other than myself notices it.

I don't get so much sluggishness, but the first time I listen to a track the empeg is very susceptible to crashing at the slightest excuse (and it reboots if I use hijack to change info display types unless I wait for about 2 minutes after boot up)
I do only have the II - so lower memory may be an issue. Waiting for my new 20Gb Mk 2a - maybe it'll help:)
