I just received confirmation (and FedEx tracking numbers) for the items I ordered on 12/22, including my 2nd 10GB Mk2a and tuner module.

Looks like they're shipping before 1/3/2002.

HOLY CRAP. MINE TOO!!!!!!

My 12/22 and 12/23 orders shipped. However, the status on my 12/25 order hasn't been updated yet.

But the FedEX Trackin # isn't showing up as in the system yet.

That generally indicates it was/will be picked up by FedEx this evening and will be in the system late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

I had mine shipped next day, so I may have it before it's in the system. :)

My confirmation is also here. Orders from the night of the 22nd.

I ordered on the 23rd, recieved an order status on the 24th! I just received tracking number 27th a little over an hour ago, now that's damn good considering it's between holidays where anything can & usually does happen w/shipping.

The order I placed on the 23rd has shipped! And so has the order placed on the 24th!... COOL!

I thought they weren't shipping until Jan 3rd? Oh well :) My extra unit is on the way!

Just checked, and it looks like I got my confirmation this evening too!
Its in the Fed Ex system, and is currently on a ramp somewhere in San Jose.
Also got my Crutchfield order shipping confirmation (amp etc. etc.). So if UPS and Fed-Ex both deliver on Sat in Boston, I'm going to have a busy weekend. :-)
Looks like I ordered too early though. I got hit 22 bucks for shipping.
Oh well. At least I'm getting it earlier than I thought I would.

Mine's suppost to be here tomorrow ; ) HAPpY DAY!!.. i thought i was going to have to wait till the 3rd... now if only rio could keep making and selling them, its going to be a sad day when everything is sold out.

You know, I saw this with my first Empeg. It says it ships from San Jose according the FedEx. I live in Sunnyvale, so I figure I can just go pick it up. But customer service said the warehouse is in Oregon. Checked my box. Return address in Oregon (SonicBlue estore)

I get my tracking numbers this time. Same thing -- coming out of San Jose. ARGH! I'd love to just go pick it up tomorrow.

Heh. I'm a few blocks from their building next to the Mercado Center, and I feel the same way (I live next to Cisco).

You should be able to get it tomorrow from FedEx. I'm in Canada and I'm pretty sure I'd be able to get it tomorrow if I went to pick it up at their depot myself. If I wait for them to deliver, it will be Monday minimum because of customs clearance tomorrow afternoon.

I'll decie tomorrow if I do the drive through airport traffic tomorrow before 5pm (leave work early - I don't want to stay late anyway) or just call them to find out how much I owe and leave a cheque at home for the driver on Monday (and still leave early tomorrow but come home to relax :)

Never thought following a package around California could be so fun. My Empeg and Tuner are in Oakland now, hanging around at the sort facility. I didn't go for any special shipping, just the saver, since I wasn't expecting to get it until well after New Years anyway, so I wonder how long it is going to take for me. I only live in Los Angeles, it is hard to believe that it is going to take Fedex 3-4 days to get it halfway across the state. Monday would be OK, though of course earlier would be better.

Yup, mine "Left FedEx Ramp SAN FRANCISCO, CA" this morning after bouncing all over the Bay Area. I just wish I could drive around there as fast as my car stereo seems to be doing:

Mine has now been stuck in Oakland for the entire day collecting dust. Oh the horror...stuck in Oakland; I wouldn't wish that on anybody. :)

It gave me some time to study up though. Went through the board and FAQs (and linked car audio sites) with a fine tooth comb. Bought my amp too; an Alpine 4-channel. it won't win me any competitions, but should be plenty good for me.

I have an Alpine 4 channel amp too, the Flex4. They are great amps for the price.

I'm a sucker for "antique" Soundstream amps. I guess once I heard one about ten years ago, I was hooked. Being that I don't like much change, I preferred to find that same old model.

I once had the kickingest-ass tape deck .. I think it was an Alpine 7980 ... whoah ... Alpine doesn't make good crap like that anymore. No wait, that was the 3-disc in dash. Anyway, whatever it was, it was their last flagship deck that came in cassette form. It had stuff in it that I haven't seen since.
