Hi.

This is more a question than a wish, but might lead to one:
When importing an M3U playlist in emplode, does it support nested playlists? Don't know wether WinAmp supports those today (don't have it installed to test it), but there are MP3 players that support nesting of M3U playlists (by just referencing the m3u file instead of the mp3 file). It would be cool if emplode was able to do the same, it would make it (even) easier (than now) for people to store complete playlist trees (with multiple references to single files) on their PCs, not just the plain artist/album/song style core tree.

cu,
sven

Not as far as I know. I might implement it at some point, however.

Mmm.. I wonder if perhaps Hijack khttpd should support generating nested playlist m3u's. Actually, doing that would be simpler than what it does today, but I wonder how universal (or not) support is for those.

I'll bet iTunes wouldn't work with them..

I still don't think WinAmp supports hierarchical m3u files. Until it does, it's probably not a good idea to generate them.

emplode will support nested m3u files in a post-2.0 release -- it fell out of some cleanup code I was doing.

Good. I don't think XMMS support nesting, either. So there's the two biggies, and no new "work" for me on this.

Cheers
