I had my Empeg (#314) installed in my VW Sharan today, together with a Magnat Classic 170 amp. I use the VW supplied speakers, as the amp gives 4x25W only..
Now for the pecularities...
1. The car mount can't be fixed properly, there should be some of those cut-outs where You bend a 'nose' away to fix it
in the SIDES of the mount...
2. forget about the supplied antenna amp, at least with the VW Sound 2 comes an active window antenna which gives
enough RF gain already, the RF amp makes it worse...
