Ok guys.. just got an email saying my order shipped. So check your emails!!

I orderd on the 27th.. at around 10:00 AM.. I actually ordered a 10 GB unit (even though it said they were 'out of stock') at the time...

I am a happy man now =)

(BTW, the only news about my order of 23rd was Rob's mail with recalculated price - I ordered before prices on international store got changed - but since it is handled by guys@empeg themselves I sleep peacefully :-)

on a related note.. i also recieved an additional email asking me to confirm my mailing address for a second order I placed on the 30th for a 20 gb unit..

So it looks like they might have enough units to cover all orders up until the 30th as well...

I ordered on the 26th and it shipped. I also ordered a FM tuner (said on back order) but it shows that it shipped also, so I am hoping that the FM tuner is really in the box when in comes.

although considering how SB has been screwing up orders as of late (placing the wrong items in the boxes) I am still a little nervous.. I don' think i'll be able to sleep easy until I have the unit in my grubby little hands.. heh

I had 3 items in my order but received only 2 but they were the correct items and the Rio-car was one of the items I did get and a tuner was the other. The missing item is something that is still in stock (lens kit) so it's not a supply issue.

Yup. Just got an email saying my 20GB was shipped. I ordered on the 27th, not sure what time though.

Oh wow. I am actually getting one and a tuner too!! After wanting one forever it seems. Guess I'll be hanging on this board a lot in the near future. I wonder if I can take a vacation from work when I get it and spend a week playing with it. I'll try not to post too often for help.

With a bit of luck we'll clear the International shipping backlog tomorrow - but a few orders could run into Monday.

Thanks, I'm surprised that some of you remember me. Wow, I am an empeg owner. Has such a nice ring to it. I'm sure I will have a ton of questions when it arrives at my door but I will try and find the answers before I ask questions. But I am sure I will post more. And when I have enough money to buy an amp and speakers and get it installed in the Nova, I will be sure and take pictures and post them.

The board's features have changed so much since my last login. I just never felt like loging in or posting since I was only a wannabe owner before and felt I didn't have much to contribute. It feels good to be back.

I still can't believe that I am an owner. The shock will wear off eventually.

Hip Hip Hooray!!! I got an email with a tracking# for my 20GB player. I am so happy, I can't wait to get it installed in my car. I think I found my new online hangout here. I look forward to learning alot from you old timers. Good luck to all who ordered, I hope you all get yours too.

I am also one of the lucky ones who ordered on Nov 27th about 6pm. I just got shipping confirmation earlier today, Jan 3rd 3:30pm, my Rio Car Empeg 20gb is being shipped with the tracking info.

Right now I have no amp or speakers for the Nova and no money for at least a couple of months to buy anything. Then I will have to save up for the install fee. Or think about putting it in my company Dodge Caravan that I drive most of the time. For now I will be content to hook it up to my stereo once I learn how to do that. And unfortuantely I will be working many hours for the next couple of weeks including weekends so I won't have much time to play. It's left the building now and is on it's way.

Mine seems to have made it to Indianapolis yesterday, on its way to MA, but now it shows back in Oakland, CA. What are they trying to do to me! I'm a nervous wreck.

Sometimes the comments in a FedEx tracking record end up out of sequence. I doubt it got shipped back to Oakland...

What a memory you have. No, the guy who was building them is no longer in the picture. Those would have been good installs though. But he really wasn't into MP3's at all or music much so it would have just been wasted in his planes unless I was going along for a ride.
