I just received the empeg I ordered for me wife on Christmas day! I thought for sure that I wasn't going to get one, in fact I even bid on one at ebay. When the price dropped I unfortunately had just purchased a bunch of Christmas stuff and didn't have $200 to put on my credit card, so I went ahead and paid some more on my credit card online. By the time that the payment went through, the rio store showed that they were all out of the 10 gig players, but I went ahead and placed the order. I received an order confirmation and the "charge" hit my credit card, but I assumed it was the reservation charge that everyone had been talking about here on the board. I never did get a message saying that the empeg was shipping. Today, I checked my balance on my card and the charge and was gone so I figured that we'd never see the new empeg. Then tonight when I went to take out the trash I nearly tripped over it! So here it is, my wife's 10 gig rio car that I had just told her she wouldn't be receiving.
