Like Winamp, it should be possible to add an entire directory of songs, rather than the current cumbersome method of adding one at a time.

Basically, replicating the way Winamp handles playlists would be good.

You can can't you? Just open Windows Explorer etc. and drag and drop as many files as you want.

You can drag and drop files, you can't drag and drop directories. I'd like to drag my root "rock" directory and have all of the sub-directories and songs get put into the empeg as individual play lists. The emplode software only allows you to drag and drop mp3's currently.

This is already on the todo list. Watch out for it in future releases.
