I know that there was a thread about this before, but I'll be damned if I can find it, so here goes again.

I had an idea based on my wife's hobbies. She's into rubber stamping, and they have this stuff out now called ``embossing powder''. What it is is very finely granulated plastic that can be stuck to items using the stickier inks. Then you use a heat gun to melt the plastic until it coalesces.

I was thinking that it might be possible to use this to make a glow-in-the-dark set of controls. I haven't tried it yet, as she doesn't have any GITD powder, but I was thinking about having her get some and try it out on my old slippery knob. My only fear is that the power of the phosphorescent ``stuff'' won't be very good. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Does it just make more sense to wait for a lighted solution?

Hmm, I was going to try some stuff with buttons but Rob, I think it was Rob, never replied to my email on getting some here in the US. (along with empeg stickers)

I forwarded all of those emails to David to sort out when he has a minute.

I'm now considering putting button & knob sets on the empeg store at a nominal cost - the only problem is we have no Mk.2A knobs, only the Mk.2 version with the rubber grommet. I THINK they will also work on a 2A, and will check that today.
