Is there something I can use to format my rio player and make it like it just came from the factory?

Yes there is...

You need the Hard Disc Builder program from
http://www.empeg.com/cgi-bin/display.cgi?section=downloads&id=5
Beware it will completly trash any data saved on the attached hard disc...

You should probably read the section about Disk Builder from the drive upgrade FAQ at http://www.riocar.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Drive_Upgrade&file=index
Specifically "Step 6: Formatting the new drive"

Thanks alot. I always seem to miss this topics in the FAQ. I finished download it, and ran it but now all it does is just spin the hard drive. Anyone else ever do this? How long would it normally take? Should I just terminate it or let it run?

It goes on forever. Now pull the power and install a software release onto the player (1.03 is the latest stable release, there will be a new Beta in the next few days so I wouldn't bother with 2.0-beta7).
