A 3com Audrey- Empeg interface. This could lead to a bigger UI, more information on screen... and color visualizations

Connect both to your network - or with a cross-over cable. Run a web browser on the audrey. Run Hijack on the empeg. Point it to your empeg's address after installing Greg's Empeg Web files. Done. Or Bitt's VNC.

Sure, those only provide you with a mirror of the empeg display... If you want something more creative then you can make your own interface to the empeg using ftp and http provided for by Hijack. You could do this to both control the player or stream the music to the audrey. Then you can write your own visuals on the audrey.

I can do basic codin', however figuring out how to do the visualizations would be the problem.

Would anybody be interested in working with this? It'd be a fun project, you could install it in the back of a seat, and let the backseat passengers choose the songs they want :P

Then the trick would be to run the Audrey in the car, and have it mounted.
