Guys,

I need some help. I want to install the empeg in my E-class, but I need a custom wooden panel for it. Is there anybody who can make me something like that?
I want to install the empeg below the navigation unit. The existing wooden panel (which actually hides the ashtray) has a too sharp bent to get the sled to fit properly. There will be a gap on the sides of the sled. So I need a new panel with a lower, sharper bend, which will allow the empeg to be fitted without a gap. Worst case, a straight panel but that wouldn't look good with the curves of the console I'm afraid. See pic.
I have no idea what kind of wood it is, all I know is that it's black ...

Frank

I want to install the empeg below the navigation unit.

I don't want to rain on any parades here, but... are you sure there is enough room between the face of the dash and the gearshift lever to be able to slide the empeg in and out? It might be inconvenient if you have to remove your transmission every time you want to add music to the player.

yeah, no problem. I have to put it in D, but then there's room enough.
