I read the FAQ over and found out about Wendy filters. I tried using them, but I can't put them on my whole playlist. I have to put them on each song individually. Is there a way I can filter out a whole playlist?

Using the version 2.0x software, you can group-select files.

I know you can group select, but the playlist still appears in the empeg player. Is there a way to block the playlist out?

Wendy filters are for tracks, not for playlists.

If you don't want a given playlist playing in an "all player shuffle", the correct feature to use is "ignore as child".

Hi Tony.

I still think Wendy filters should be applicable to playlists as well. Imagine a collection that contains a few disc that you don't certain people to know you have. I can make sure they don't touch filter settings while browsing the playlists, but how should I hide playlists (i.e. Artists or Album titles) from them if not by using wendy filters?

cu,
sven

I agree. For example, if my aunt gets in the car, I might not want her to see ``Butthole Surfers'', ``Christian Death'', or ``Frankenchrist'' on the screen.

I know this is a REALLY old post, but has there been any changes to this? Can we hide playlists yet? Maybe in v3?

Well that explains why Ive never gotten wendy filters to work for me Always doing the playlist not the individual files. (I know its probobly not gonna happen but) I hope someone working on v3 see's this and likes the idea and adds it

Was this ever implemented in v3? (Wendy filters being applicable to playlists)

Yes or No is sufficient. =]

No, for various complicated reasons that we did justify somewhere.

Ah, small correction. What won't get implemented is dynamically editing the Playlists menu to reflect your current filters.

What could happen in JEmplode is that applying wendy flags to a playlist actually applied it to it descendants.

Dangit! That's too bad. I really like having all of my music on my player, but hate wading through tons of crap that I usually don't listen to. It would be amazing to be able to just flag all the playlists of bands I don't want to wade through so I can flip on the filter and they won't show when just scrolling around for something to listen to.

As it stands as of last night I just gave up and moved all of that stuff to a [rarely listen to] folder within each genre. Ah well. Thanks for the reply Roger!
