I was close to buying some, but no SSL, low resellers rating, and probably a price mistake. Might be worth the risk if you have a CC that can generate single use card numbers.

I've got single use numbers, and I'm looking for a drive for my laptop. I'll buy one and let everyone know if there's a problem.

Don't see a 25 gb HD there, but see a whole bunch of Travelstars and a few other.

Hi.
That's probably because they removed it in the meantime.

Wow, there's a such thing as single-use card numbers?
Too cool, that is a great feature, I will have to look into getting that. What will they think of next?

I think those were "2.5" gig drives and not "25" gig...

The model number, DARA-225000, is for an IBM 5400 RPM 2.5" 25 gig drive. Considering that it's now off their site, my guess is pricing mistake. Although on the other hand, they had a listing with that price on PriceWatch, as well. So, they would have had to make the same mistake in two different systems.
Their listing is off of PriceWatch now as well. I also can't really get a hold of anyone to tell if my order is going to ship.

Discover also has single use card numbers. As for Visa or Mastercard, it all depends on who you're issuing bank is. I can't think of any off the top of my head that offer it, but I know some do.

The 30's and 40's are FINALLY coming down in price... however slowly. Before, they were not budging. Could this mean that the 60's might be out soon? If so, I can't wait to get a 40 or 48 for under $150!

Okay, I finally got a hold of someone, and their story is that the pricing was not a mistake, but they sold out before they updated the web site to reflect that. So, any orders placed after they sold out won't be honored. And, when they do get them back in stock, they won't have them at that price. So, too bad for me...

60's have been out for a while. I guess you haven't been following the threads too closely. I think Paul G was the first person to install them into his empeg.

Greetings!
Huh? Sorry. I have been trying (very unsuccessfully) to keep up with the increased board traffic. Did I miss something?

No Bruno, I HAVE been following them, but the 60GB drives are only available to OEM's (and maybe only IBM and Dell) but no re-seller has had them to sell. They are only available to PC makers so they are not on the open market yet. Pricewatch.com doesn't even list them.

I also spoke to someone who told me, they had these in stock and I was ready to order 2 of them, he put me on hold and came back and told me there was a problem. The price was marked wrong on those hard drives and they only had a total of 2 in stock. These were sold at that price to first 2 orders placed on the web. This was after he told me they were in stock...
What a rip off...
