Don't panic. Make sure you matched the cable to the correct pins on the motherboard and drive.

Perhaps you just swapped it around backwards so the wrong edge is aligned with Pin 1?

Thats what it was, man I feel like a moron. I had it in the right place at first but the cable wasnt in far enough and came out and when I put it back in i guess i didnt align it right...........shew.

I think I have over $10,000 on my credit cards. Of course, $8,000 of it is from a car loan I transferred because I got a better rate on the card.

Oh im not complaining I just me a valet job so I shouldnt have it that long. Before this summer I had a $4000 dollar credit card debt do to modding my car, but thats paid off so its all good.

It always feels good to get it paid off. Unfortunately, that'll be a while for me.

But, at least I can put an average of $700/mo to my credit card bills.

Did you ever think of adding a "Donate to Tony for his helpful faq - PayPal link". I don't think there is anything illegal in doing that...Then people can decide how much time your Faq saved them, add up what they feel their time is worth, and send you a donation, or send the webhoster a donation...

Wow, actually, I never thought of that. I do this only because I am a fan of the product, because it is my hobby, and because I like and respect the other members of the community. I don't do it with the expectation of any sort of gain or reward from it.

However, I would never turn down a gift, especially when the gift is from someone who I like and respect. My e-mail address can be gleaned from looking at my BBS profile or reading my home page.

I would also like to add that the FAQ, although transcribed by me, is primarily made up of information posted by the users of this BBS. So I can't technically claim it as being mine.

If you take the time to help everyone on here every night, I think you should be entitled to something in return. If you make a FAQ from everyone else's information, as long as you strung it all together, it was created by YOU and you should take some credit for it. I really appreciate having a place to go when I have a problem (even know when I first started posting here, you just kept telling me to go to the FAQ...) It's a dam good faq too!
