...before it looses its time/date setting ?

I've noticed that when I enter the time / date into the player, and when I take the player out of the car and take it indoor, by the time I re-connect the power the player has already lost it's time setting. When I let the player be disconnected for about an hour, It also looses it's date setting. (it shows 01/07/2001 again).

I don't think this is correct behaviour?

BTW : the player is a new MK2a 60gig, bought because of the X-mas price drop.

Yes, it should keep the clock setting for quite a long time when unplugged. Days, at least, I think. Contact support.

That's what I thought too. I thought it had an internal battery, but wasn't sure.
I'll contact David tomorrow.

Not a battery, a capacitor. Same result, though.
