My Rio car just stopped working all of a sudden last night. I had it working fine for about 5 hours, while I was at work, but When I started to drive home, it just shut off in the middle of a song. Anyone else have this happen before?

Random lockups is a know bug in the 2.0betas. If you're running 1.02 or 1.03 I'd suspect a bad drive cable (see the following FAQ)

I'd check the wiring and look for blown fuses.

(I'm assuming that by "shut off" you mean it went completely dark and wouldn't come on again at all.)

Does it work on the AC adapter?

ya sounds like a fuse.. check the first one attached to the yellow wire.. and i belive there is one internall i read someone but i havent seen it pysically.. its very unlikyl the played got fried..

And if a fuse -DID- blow, replacing the fuse is not the end of it. You must find out why it happened. Fuses are there to help protect the sensitive equipment from bad wiring. If you have to replace a fuse, you need to fix the problem that caused the fuse to blow first.
