The "line out" connection on my riocar magically stopped working last week. Thinking maybe something came disconnected inside the player, I took it apart and everything seems ok. Then I realized that it stopped working after I updated to beta 11 from the consumer software. Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way to turn the line out back on?

did you try to install 1.03 again ?

Did you check things like the equalizer, fader, and volume settings? Did those simply get mangled with the upgrade?

Have you verified this against both the home and the car environments?

Good point Tony. I noticed once after an upgrade to 2.00b11 that my volume was set to 0!

Everything else works perfect, other than having to re-download about half my songs because they come up "invalid mp3 file" with the beta version when they didn't before. I will test out 1.03 tonight. Since I can't access the line out ports in the car, I only know that they don't work at home.

Finally reinstalled 1.03, line out does not work. Put 2.0b11 back on, line out does not work. Any suggestions?

What is with 2.0b11? When I originally "up"-graded to 2b11 many songs suddenly became invalid so I had to fix some songs, other songs had no problems but were re-uploaded anyway and then they worked. When I went back to 1.03 to test it out and went BACK to 2b11, many songs are AGAIN invalid files. They were just fine before going to 1.03 - 2b11. Why does 2b11 think some songs are invalid when there was no problem before? Do I have to re-download all these files AGAIN?!

I suspect that the metadata on the files uploaded with v1.03 is incorrect. Not sure on this, but maybe the reset metadata option (right click) will help.

Yes, that did help the songs I uploaded with 1.03. But songs that I uploaded with 2b11 became invalid after switching back to 1.03 and back again.

Did you reset the metadata on all of the songs? The entire set? (Use the All Tracks view).
