Using Win2K, I have auto-login setup. It logs me in as Administrator (with password). Yet after that, when I hit the Start button, I can't get Administrator Tools to appear.... When browsing C:>>Documents and Setting>>Administrator>>Start Menu it isn't their either.... Yet, when I browse C>>Documents and Settings>>All Users it DOES appear. Finally, when I copy the "Administrator Tools" folder from All Users into Administor, it STILL doesn't appear when I hit the start button.

I think I might have to go buy one of those "Win2K for Dummies" books. But it is just the odd thing here and there that I need - so it will be boring reading!

I always copy my server tools into my own group...

I was trying that, but it wouldn't show up when hitting the Start button.... I was pasting it into the Programs folder.

I just did it again, this time pasting the Admin. Tools into Accessories, and it worked... odd.

Can't you go to "Taskbar and Start Menu..." under "Settings", Then "Advanced" Tab.
You just check "Display Administrative Tools:,
That is of course if there isn't a policy preventing you from doing this.

Thank you! I thought there must have been some setting somewhere that was preventing me! This is a personal notebook PC that I connect to the work LAN with, so it is no big deal. Thanks again!

Ditto on the thank you! I just reinstalled Win2K and was wondering this myself.

I just figured I'd have to learn to access it through the Control Panel (which I suppose isn't a big deal).

that's what I do...
I have my Control Panel set to cascade and the I get into the Admin tools menu from there...
Actually, I rarely use Admin tools in 2K...I normally just right click on My Computer and select Manage. That opens most of the MMS apps I'd be using any ways.
