what about a more efficient search engine in the FAQs (at least AND-OR), it could be very usefull.

I know, I know...

Find me PHP code to do an AND or OR search against a MySQL query and I will have it added quickly. Otherwise be patient while I learn a way to do it myself.

The search on this BBS does AND and OR searches.
And it's in php. Not sure of the ODBC source though.

And its probably proprietary or something too...

Yes, preferrably code I can use without getting into trouble. The BBS code is not free, and does have a copyright, so I'm not even going to look at it.

When looking for something to add searching to a site I put up last year I passed through a ton of solutions. Of course I didn't keep a list. Doh! I ended up using HT://DIG (in C, not PHP) because it provided the functionality I was after. Poking around through Google, like I did last year, should turn up some results though.
