What does this mean:

The synchronisation process failed during stage 10:
Operation not permitted error 0xffffffff

This is an error message I got while uploading some new tunes to my 60gb player. Running version 1.03 on the player and Emplode.

You wouldn't happen to be out of disk space, would you?

BTW... As far as I can tell, nothing BAD happend as a result of the failure. All files look to have transfered and the playlists are all still correct. I'm just wondering if there has been some fragmented files or info placed onto my player now?

Additionally, I just upgraded the software from 1.02 to 1.03 for the player and Emplode just before I had this problem. I DIDN'T install the Linux upgrade at this time (didn't know how), Could that be the problem?

A search on the BBS on the term "Operation not permitted" indicates that it's nothing to worry about if it happens late in the synch process.

Thank you, that makes me feel better at least. According to the BBS, The Stage 10 problem means that the files are OK but the restart failed. Good to know.
