There's no source or binary distribution, but you can get it from public-read-access CVS (see http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=290. Or, according to the download page, you can get a CVS snapshot from http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cvstarballs/lame-cvsroot.tar.gz but it doesn't say how often the snapshot is updated. Once you've grabbed it, you can use the CVS source-control system to stay up-to-date by (effectively) automatically downloading just the diffs.

This is a pretty standard way for open-source projects to work...
