I never calculated it. The number of PIXELS is 128x32, if that's what you're asking, never measured the display and did the math.

Damn, I think I need to take back what I said about Doug Burnside and math in another thread...

Well... 128 pixels across 3.2 inches would seem to be 40 dpi horizontally. Vertically, looks to be the same -- 32 pixels across .8 inches.

Another way to look at it would be about .63mm dot pitch.

well what i am trying to do is create a bootup animation. I was going to use flash to do the tweening and either export as an animated gif or frame by fram .png files. The problem i am having is that even a line drawing is coming out shadded, and unreadable/seeable. I really don't want to have to do it fram by frame and draw pixel by pixel. I have thought maybe photoshop and imageready, but there again i am having blur problems, even when i design it at the above dimensions. Any insight?

p.s. you actually referenced a thread and didn't post a link to it are you slackin or just busy?

p.p.s I turned off the smoothing export feature looks a lot better now.

Yeah, I kind of guessed that you wanted the pixel dimensions of the display rather than the actual resolution (resolution is pixels per physical inch/millimeter).

So I guess we didn't need Doug's math, after all.

He can't be fined if he's been specifically requested to do math.
