I have a logo I created that I would like to also have as my start up animation. I would like to have the image fade onto the screen. It is black background with white lettering. I have been using a program called IrfanView to edit my logos and it allows you to export gif frames. It also has effects you can use to change pictures. I was wondering if there is a program that would dim the background or darken the lettering a shade at a time to give it a fading effect. Or if anyone knows how to do it in the program I am currently using. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Never mind I just used the balance feature in Microsoft Photo Editor to fade it in from black.

Remember that there are only two shades of gray for the empeg screen. So if you want it to fade in, it's either got to be two levels of fade, or you have to dither it.

Yeah dithering is no big deal and aschieves close to the same result on low color displays...
