I hate to do this, but it's been bothering me for a few posts now. The character's name in Evil Dead is ``Ash'' (short for ``Ashley''), not ``Ashe''.

But you clearly state "Ashe, Evil Dead 3, Army of Darkness " as in the 3rd movie which would make it Ash.

Evil Dead was not a college film. It was an independently produced feature film, and had nothing to do with college.

While I can't find an official Sam Raimi website (not even a Renaissance Pictures one), Bruce Campbell's consistently calls him ``Ash''. And Bruce wasn't just an actor in the films, he and Sam Raimi are old friends, Bruce was important in funding the first Evil Dead film, and was an executive producer on it.

And while I don't own a copy of Evil Dead, I don't believe I would ever believe the back of a tape box. They're very often just wrong.

So there.

And today in a gift shop at the mall, I saw a huge two-foot-tall plastic figure of him, clothed like in Army of Darkness (with mechanical hand... "like alloys and molecular structures and stuff"), and it was labeled as "Ash". So there.

Oh, I wouldn't go off of what Spencers or some other gag shop says either.

Hmm, Anthony gives Tony not Thony. David gives Dave not Dav. Why couldn't Ashley not give Ashe? To my eyes, it looks better than "The grayish-white to black powdery residue left when something is burned" .
