I wanted to start a new thread on the No Cal Empeg meet. Drakino, do you have the final details on the meet?

A friend and I are looking to plan a trip, and we wanted to find out the details, particularly what time of day we were planning on starting. Gonna have to find somewhere to stay.

SVFerris, the meet is still scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, around Noon (exact time not yet announced), at The Boat House in San Francisco.

I forget the BBS username of the person who seemed to be willing to do all the organizing details, but he was away from the BBS for a while and I hope he's still planning on swooping in here and giving a highly detailed page of all the information.

Anyone planning on stepping up and organizing official activities? For instance, install competition, sound quality competition, trivia quiz, Q&A sessions, etc? Last couple of meets, the empeg guys did all of that. But this time, they are not likely to be able to attend, so these duties will need to fall upon other folk.

How about bringing along a laptop and that RTA program? You could do a demo on how to use it to setup the EQ.

If I owned a laptop, I could do that. Anyone want to send me one?

My current handy-dandy ultralight ultraportable RTA system will not be coming with me on this particular trip.

I have a Compaq Armada that I'll probably have on me at the meet. I'll be at E3, so we could meet up sometime to hand it off.

What days you going to be at E3?

I'm kind of following your plan. Want to hit E3, the empeg meet and Battlebots.

I plan on being there all three days. I'm staying at some hotel they have arrangements with (No access to e-mail right now, so I can't check, grr). Then a quick drive Sat morning to the meet, Metrion in the evening, then Battlebots on Sunday.

Yeah there's not a chance we can make it I'm afraid. We've got a massive great wobbly deadline on the 28th, complete with bells and flashing lights.

Perhaps you could contact whoever decides to organize it, and send them a new Trivia quiz or something?

I'll turn that one around and invite whoever decides to organise the meet to contact me. I daresay I can dig out the odd T Shirt for use as prizes.
