You should be able to grab what's needed from the arm debian website / distribution. Good things to know then is that a .deb file is an ar archive containing two .tar.gz files, control and data. The stuff you want is in the data.tar.gz file... As to dependencies, I have no idea.

I have the small and somewhat emacs like ae editor on my empeg. I've posted previously as to what files (and links to them) that are necessary, IIRC only one library and 2 files in /etc besides the executable.

The one I have from the bare-bones Debian distro somebody around here put together barely works (seems to have problem with Curses or whatever it uses for screen handling).

If you manage to locate a good one do tell!
