I've been using my unit for a few months now without a problem. Then one day I go out to my car, put the empeg in and start the car... empeg doesn't come up. I played with it a bit more and when I start the car the blue standby light in the front will "blink" tiwce, then go off completely. I hear the hard drives spin but that's it. If I press the little round button on the left and the arrow buttin directly below is at the same time, the blue light will begin flashing again BUT if I hit ANY key after that... it stops blinking again.

Then it sits here. I can connect to it with emplode and hit syncronize and it seems to syncronize fine.

Any thoughts? Is this the infamous hard drive cable? Something else? Thanks all.

maybe your dimmer-setting is at 0% ?
i had this once after upgrading the firmware.
i was able to correct this when it was very dark in my car (in daylight it wasn't possible to see the player's menu).

at least i don't see anything suspicious in your serial-log.

how do I go about fixing that?
